We are a coalition of localvore groups
created in the fall of 2006. We are generally located in Vermont
and New Hampshire. While
most localvore organization occurs at a community level, there are a few
activities which we have banded together to address. We started
working together on marketing, policy, and food sourcing issues.
We have evolved into a group of local food consume activists that work
with other groups involved with local food issues. We are also working
more on educating others about local food issues and hope to have
several articles written and posted here for distribution in other
media.
The scope of this website is limited to
providing the
following :
- Links / contact information to
various localvore groups within the project.
- Publicity materials and information useful for
marketing and education.
- Repository for documents and updates created by the
marketing, policy and sourcing
groups.
To find a localvore group in your area, or simply
to find out more general information about local
food and the issues surrounding it, go to the local group section of
this site where you will find a link to many different community localvore sites. There you will find a variety of events,
articles, recipes, stories, and more.

be in September, with participants choosing length of time
